Purpose of this role is to support all finance matters related to the Renewable Power and Energy Solutions division of New Energies with a focus on European Solar. The Advisor will report to the Power Renewables - Finance Manager and is a business partner in defining and establishing the business model(s), deal valuation, commercial decision making, risk management and performance management, providing transparency and enabling business performance. The Advisor connects with all areas including Finance in Upstream, Downstream, Treasury, Group Reporting, Controllers, Tax, FTM and P&T to ensure a proper end to end transparency of cost and ensuring adequate guidance to portfolio choices, from a Financial advice standpoint.Business Partner to the Renewable Power Development team providing effective and efficient delivery of all finance matters for the business. Focus will be on Europe, including Spain, Italy, France, and NL. Ability to speak and read Spanish would be helpful.Support to shaping and realizing the long-term value to come from the renewable power sector through creating and delivering compelling value propositions and commercial solutions and the critical role of project financing in making us competitive. Ability to support business in modeling, structuring and financing a very diverse, global portfolio of projects, assets and business ventures. This position will work heavily with the New Energies Planning & Appraisal ManagerHelp manage complex M&A/corporate finance transactions in close cooperation with M&AAbility to work independently will be critical for success in this role The Advisor will be responsible for delivering a compelling business model, creating value for customers and shareholders. The team will need to translate a wide breadth of options and opportunities into clear business strategies that will likely change and evolve over the coming years. The ability to work at a strategic, commercial as well as operational level will be needed. Details of the new organization, ways of working and governance will take a few weeks to finalize and implement. The role will support projects ranging from Greenfield solar development (finding land, PPAs, and executing on projects) to potential inorganic acquisitions of energy solution developer companies. The role will also require partnering with business in development of new business lines, such as storage. This will require developing a compelling business proposition, understanding all exposures, and likely execution.
