Canon Production Printing makes printers and software for professional markets, such as commercial graphic arts, book on demand, magazines, custom designed wall paper, signage and more. Our customers want to get the absolute best out of our machines, including consistent and reliable color reproduction. We support our customers via a number of software solutions that are designed and developed in house. What will be your job as software engineer? You will be part of the R&D team that develops these applications. You will be interacting with R&D colleagues both inside and outside the team, across physical R&D locations. Your job will be to work on a mostly green field project using the latest technology. You will be part of a small but growing young team that accepted the challenge to deliver a new software product in a short but realistic timeframe, using several iterations to react to market feedback. Right now, the project has entered its initial engineering phase and there is a prepared backlog that will guide the team to the MVP.You are responsible for designing and implementing cloud back-end services, laying a robust basis for upcoming and future product releases.Who are we looking for?We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude, the ability to combine the short and long term and a genuine drive to deliver high quality software. You will be working internationally and have technology dependencies on other components by CPP, so you are not afraid to start a Teams chat with somebody several thousands of kilometers away that you may have never met, or answer questions other might have for you.
